NASA Opportunities
- NASA Education home page: http://www.nasa.gov/offices/education/about/index.html
- This is an excellent portal to access resources for students and teachers in all areas of NASA's research.
- Lists of all of NASA's educational programs can be found on this page: http://www.nasa.gov/offices/education/programs/index.html
- This list organizes the opportunities alphabetically: http://www.nasa.gov/offices/education/programs/descriptions/All_Alpha.html
- NASA Education website "Opportunities" page, in the "For Students" section: http://www.nasa.gov/audience/forstudents/current-opps-index.html
- This page lists a large number of opportunities, divided by age/education level.
- The NASA Education "Centers and Facilities" page, http://www.nasa.gov/offices/education/centers/index.html
- This page lists NASA facilities that provide education programs and gives links to their education pages. [NOTE: some facilities not listed also provide educational opportunities, but on a smaller scale.]
- NASA's Undergraduate Student Research Program, http://usrp.usra.edu/about/
- The program offers spring, summer, or fall internships for full-time undergrads at many different NASA research centers throughout the country.
- One Stop Shopping Initiative (OSSI), http://intern.nasa.gov/accessable.html
- NASA is implementing the OSSI for their numerous internship, fellowship, and scholarship opportunities. This will, hopefully, make it simpler to apply for NASA opportunities.
- Part of this initiative is a universal online application for their student internships, etc. called the Student On-Line Application for Recruiting Interns, Fellows, and Scholars: http://solar.nasa.gov/web/public/main/
- NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory list of internships and fellowships, http://www.jpl.nasa.gov/education/internships/
- NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory intern videos: http://www.jpl.nasa.gov/education/index.cfm?page=88
- These videos demonstrate past interns' experiences at JPL.
- NASA's Langley Research Center, Langley Aerospace Research Summer Scholars (LARSS) program, http://www.nianet.org/larss/
- This program is for college juniors or seniors and graduate students. High school seniors and college freshman and sophomores can take advantage of a "bridge" program if they have a GPA of 3.5 or more and have been in a NASA program before. [NOTE: This program is not accessible through the NASA One Stop Shopping Initiative.]
